01 / OVERVIEW

What it does.

Stitch Generator 1.0.0 launched with 50 built-in stitches and an edge-driven workflow similar to Ornament Generator. It is intended to remove repetitive manual sewing-detail modeling while preserving physical geometry for high-quality renders and close-ups.

02 / HOW TO USE

Core workflow.

  1. Select at least one edge that should receive stitches.
  2. Click Generate Stitch from Edge.
  3. Open the stitch library, choose a style and Load Asset.
  4. Adjust size, depth / offset, tilt and direction until the stitch sits correctly on the surface.
  5. Use curve handle, twist, smoothing and resolution controls for more difficult shapes.
03 / INSTALLATION

Getting started.

  1. Open Blender and go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons.
  2. Choose Install from Disk and select stitch_generator.zip.
  3. Install and enable the addon.
  4. Open the Blender side panel to access Stitch Generator.
  5. Use Blender 4.3 or newer.
04 / GENERAL GUIDE

Main controls.

Offset

Controls the distance between the stitch geometry and the target surface.

Scale / Extra Scale

Adjusts stitch size and extends the available range when required.

Tilt

Changes the stitch angle relative to the surface.

Switch Direction

Flips the stitch orientation along the path.

Decimate Factor

Optimizes generated geometry while keeping the stitch structure connected.

Refresh

Reloads library assets without restarting the addon.

Handle / Twist Type

Helps maintain correct alignment on sharp or complex curves.

Smooth Factor / Resolution

Balances path smoothness and curve detail.
